Dr Clare Strickland
Do you ever doubt yourself, criticise yourself, or feel like you have to work really hard to earn others approval?
Or do you struggle to look after yourself properly? Perhaps feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns where you either push others away, overwork, or sabotage your health and self-care goals...
I am experienced in working with these types of difficulties as well as Burnout, Anxiety and Complex Trauma. I work in a neuroaffirming way with all my clients and in particular have experience of working with people who have personality difficulties (whether diagnosed or not).

I am a HCPC registered Clinical & Forensic Psychologist and qualified in 2022. I have worked in the NHS for over 10 years across a range of services including mental health, community and forensic settings. I continue to work in the NHS part time alongside three evenings a week with the Plum Psychology team.
I draw on a combination of approaches to make sure I’m being responsive to the individuals needs including EMDR, CBT, DBT skills, ACT and CFT.
If you feel like you would benefit from support to help you understand the impact of your life experiences, or develop alternative ways of coping with stress or emotions that are challenging to regulate, then please do book a call with me.
It is a brave step to reach out during a time when you are potentially feeling your most vulnerable. I appreciate how courageous it is to consider therapy at this time and am mindful of this when we first meet.
