Dr Sarah Butler
I am a Counselling Psychologist with over 12 years’ experience working in the NHS and 2 years supporting serving soldiers within the Ministry of Defence. I work with adults and offer both intensive therapy and regular weekly sessions, depending on what feels right for you.
I support people with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, phobias, burnout, and trauma. My approach is grounded in understanding how your past experiences might be shaping what you’re going through now — and using that insight to makemeaningful change.

I aim to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and collaborative. I’ll share my knowledge so that over time you become your own therapist, and we’ll work together to find theapproach that fits you best. I draw on a range of therapeutic models so that your experience is tailored to your unique experiences, flexible, and focused on what will be most helpful for you.
For some guidance here are just a few examples of the many issues I can help with;
-
Survivors of assault, and sexual assault
-
Childhood neglect
-
Medical trauma
-
Work related trauma and PTSD
-
Burnout and stress
-
Social anxiety
-

-
Late diagnosed Neurodevelopmental Disorders
Please get in touch if you would like to discuss how I may be able to help.

A note from the founder:
"Sarah and I connected in 2022 through our shared focus on EMDR intensives. She now leads the EMDR Intensives Special Interest Group and is at the forefront of research and knowledge-sharing in this area. In 2026, she will deliver a keynote at the EMDR conference, and her intensive clinical work consistently receives exceptional feedback."
